 n annual\, half-day seminar addressing important issues in environmental l
 aw and management. It allows practitioners to both learn about and share t
 heir views on cutting edge environmental legal issues. Topics to be presen

 ute provides monthly conference calls with three of the foremost experts o
 n the climate law and policy. This month’s Climate Briefing will be part
  of our Fall Practice Update. The panelists will discuss the future of cli
 mate legislation and regulations\, international negotiations\, and other

 Rules\, 9:30 — 11:00 AM\nThe U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has e
 mbarked on an ambitious schedule of air pollution rulemaking following the
  vacatur of several Bush administration rulemakings. The “transport rule
 ” seeks to cap interstate emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen
  oxides (NOx) from power plants to replace the Clean Air Interstate Rule (
 CAIR). Also on the schedule are: a plan to review and update hazardous air
  pollution rules covering 28 types of industrial facilities\, rules limiti
 ng mercury and other toxic emissions including arsenic\, dioxins\, and hyd
 rochloric acid\, national health standards for ozone\, and BACT standards 
 that will likely address greenhouse gases. Panelists will discuss how thes
 e various rules interrelate and how they might fit with legislative develo
