The Monument Music & Arts Festival and Bobby Cato are proud to present The Green Carpet Affair, a night of music, art, and message to spotlight and benefit homegrown non-profit DC Greenworks.

It's all going down on Wednesday, August 25th, from 6:30 - 9:00 in the historic Eastern Market's North Hall.

So what is "it?"

We're talking a performance from GRAMMY nominated progressive hip-hop artist Christylez Bacon.

We're talking free beer from California's premier Lagunitas Brewing Company.

And we're talking a live art installation from Jay Coleman, complimentary organic food from DC's Occasions Caterers, DJ sets from Wes Felton (DJ Dub El), and a handful of surprises we're not going to tell you about yet.

The Green Carpet Affair is more than a social gathering though: it will be a platform for action, inspiring residents of the District and beyond to reduce our area’s carbon footprint through simple everyday actions and long-term initiatives. The event draws music fans together with local businesses, innovators, and neighborhood leaders to network, socialize, and discuss new opportunities in the local green scene.

And let's not forget about the beneficiary, DC Greenworks, a local 501(c) that serves the community through green collar job training and efforts to restore, protect, and enhance the area’s environment.
